12-week-old giant panda

Polar bear







Mercedes the polar bear makes her debut public appearance at the Highland Wildlife Park in Kingussie, Scotland October 22, 2009. Mercedes, the only polar bear in a UK zoo, was taken to the Wildlife Park on Monday. The polar bear had been at the zoo for 25 years, after being rescued from Canada where she scheduled to be shot after wandering into a local town on numerous occasions. The zoo has been moving animals that are better suited to colder climates to the wildlife park.
